Chamber 1
The Eager Fool
A skilled adventurer found a remote cave, the walls glistening with crystals, light seemingly emanating from them. As he proceeded through the cave without issue, the crystals became more and more scarce until he could barely see anything. The man felt his way into a room, and at the end of this room, he saw a beautiful statuette. This peaceful cave held a valuable treasure, and it would be his! As he ran to get his prize, he felt a rushing sensation, and as his world melted, he saw the last bit of light fade away.
Chamber 2
The Acrobat's Deceit
There lived a humble acrobat, a woman of amazing agility and grace. However, there also lived many envious people who saw her as a show-off. They plotted to follow her home one day after work and bludgeon her to death, but the woman overheard and set to work. She devised a path home that would take her through a treacherous gap with but a few footholds. Only a clever acrobat such as her would be able to survive.
Chamber 3
The Severed Staircase
There once stood a mythical tower, long since abandoned by it's otherworldy inhabitants. The tower stretched as high as the sky, a spiral staircase lining the walls. However, a strange white creature roamed the tower, preventing anyone from accessing the highest room. After many failed invasions, the creature was near death, injured from a particularly crafty adventurer. In his final act, he destroyed segments of the stairs, and upon reaching the top, lay down to rest. The creature's eyes closed for one final time, and he would soon join his long-lost family.
Chamber 4
The Frost King's Isolation
In a land of ice and snow, there reigned a King, his rule cold and cruel. His subjects toiled to build a throne room, so that the King could sit in comfort to berate them. The workers devised a way to dethrone the King, but they weren't content. The King should have to suffer as they did for many years. However, one of the more cowardly workers informed the King of their plan, who was furious. As the King burst through the doors, the workers had put the finishing touches on their contraption, and were ready to test their magnificent creation.
Chamber 5
The Dreamer's Turmoil
There was a man who encountered a witch, whom he struck to the ground because she was hideous. The witch vowed to cause him eternal pain, and cast a spell on him that put the man to sleep for the rest of time. He would always have peaceful dreams, no harm would ever befall him. But after hundreds of years of peaceful sleep, the man began to yearn for excitement. He soon realized that safety and peace were a curse he could never break.
Chamber 6
The Acrobat's Conceit
A woman at the end of her days, having lived a long and fulfilling life, yearned for one last adventure. She came across a large chasm, lined only with magical floating poles. Cracking a smile, the woman knew that this would be her swan song. After viewing the entire chasm and plotting a path, the woman began her trek across the pit. She would feel the jolt of excitement her life had lacked for so long, with no fears.
Chamber 7
The Gambler's Final Bet
There lived a money-hungry gambler, a man of such splendor and luck that he was banned from every casino in the world. He would make bets with strangers and travelers in an attempt to assuage his love of chances. One day, he was informed of a splendorous room of pure gold by a man who had just lost their life savings to the gambler. As the gambler rushed off to the given location, he felt his heart race. He would finally have all the gold he could use. Little did he know that the room was naught but a rigged bet.
Chamber 8
The Drowned Man's Tomb
Long ago, there was a man who swam the seas as if he were birthed there. His ability to swim was matched only by his ego, which was always in need of a boost. One night, he overheard some divers talking about a chamber underneath the nearby island, a chamber filled with treasures. The man left before he could overhear the divers' mention how going there was suicide.
Chamber 9
The Unrelenting Darkness
Deep underneath the prison, there existed a long system of tunnels used for escapees. However, word had gotten out to the warden about these tunnels and the men inside them, and so he ordered them flooded and the ends closed. When they finally reopened the tunnels four months later, they could find no evidence of the prisoners who had been trapped down there barring that of some bloodstains.
Chamber 10
The Broken Victory
Triumph! Yell heartily into the sky for you have succeeded where countless others failed. However, remain vigilant - Those that find the solace of victory sufficient often let their guard down and perish. But you are weary. The trials have punished you, and rest sounds fantastic.
