There is a vote on Trah's topic, follow the link on my original post. We will just decide who does what on the day, and during the build.

Not sure if everyone will be able to/want to but I'd suggest we have a giant skype call or we grab a free vent/teamspeak server for the weekend. Just to make it easier, don't have to stop to type so much.

I was actually thinking about this too!
It sounds good but some members might feel they have privacy issues.
I think a team speak server might go better if we can get one.

I'm all for a Skype call. Would make things a lot easier. Of course you would not be required to join in on the call, but its a good idea. A lot of things are easier to explain when talking to someone, rather than typing it. Especially visual things.

I'd prefer to use TS, but Skype is fine with me, if my PC can handle it, while recording. I don't want it to melt halfway through recoding the timelapse.

I think we have enough builders for this to work, I might sit this one out. That way I can install some nice shaders, and let you guys do all the work, while I record. 

Do we have a time estimate on how long the build will take from start to finish?

I'll either host it myself or rent one for a month.
A 10-slot server is ?1.80 for a month but if necessary I can go for a 20-slot.
Let me know roughly how many slots we need and I'll sort that out. Unless somebody else can host it. My connection is not great, I can probably deal with about 6 people.

If you can only host 6 people, is there any point in using TS? I'd save your money and go with Skype.

Lol i can only put in 3-4 hours on saturday but at least i have some time going in but ill try to get on whenever im free. Cant wait guys

I was thinking the build should take no longer than 3-5 hours. We do have quite a few people interested so with everyone working together we should be able to accomplish a lot.

It looks like the Floating Island is the top choice. So we will be building that.

Piix thank you for recording, provided everyone who says they are going to show up, does in fact show up. I think it would be fine for you to sit out and record.

As for the Skype/Teamspeak thing... It looks like we have around 8 people wanting to do this. Skype has some negatives such as... It is more taxing on your computer to run along side Minecraft than TS is. Also Skype is notorious for bad connections and random call dropping. But then again it is a far easier option than TS is. So what ever you guys decide on I'm fine with... I've got an account for both so I don't care. (Secretly prefer TS)
