Hopefully this won't be a rambling post. We'll see at the end.
First off, I can't go on the server, so I don't know how well the mountain is doing. However.
Although we have stuff to build, I think it's kinda important that we make sure we're deciding how the actual storyline is going to be conveyed. In what order is the player going to move through the village? Is it notes that are going to be left for them? If so, are they going to be in a txt file or on maps? Will they be in a diary form, or in some other way? Why will the village actually turn out to be deserted? Who will actually be responsible for doing those? I think everyone should have an idea of the direction that the story is taking, and then we'll be able to build stuff more effectively, and faster.
Yes, we're building a mountain, but what is it actually for? I know the player is going to go down a waterfall, but what's going to happen then? How big is this adventure going to be - big and long, or small, and released in chunks?
So, in conclusion, may I suggest a sticky in this section, that sets out all the rules for the adventure creative server, criteria for being able to build on it, the direction that the story is trying to take, and a clear list of to dos. Maybe, even, assign different people different responsibilities for building on the server.
May I also suggest it is locked, so it doesn't get filled up with random off topic
****, as is usually the case with the forums. Although I do love that.
I think the rules need to be layed down by someone (narrows eyes at Piix and Devi) , and then I think we'll all be able to go in some kind of constructive direction that is a leetle bit faster than what we have at the moment.
That is all. Wow, that was rambling, and a little bit ranty. Apologies.
