I heard about you through a guy on you tube called MidnightFaire ,he really has showed of the server well.
My past experience has been on public servers on which I've been up to the rank of mod. Also time spent playing on my own hamachi server with a few friends has really helped my SMP skills.
I would contribute to the server in the building and planning parts. The layout of a city would be quite easy to design for me and even easier to build. I specialize on medieval especially Nordic. When building I center the build around a hub, a castle or a market. Architecture wise I like to add a lot of arches and bridges.
